XanGo distributors and CXO experts met in Kauai, Hawaii at the Grand Hyatt Kauai for the 2010 Elevation retreat. Distributors asked questions to CXO team about international expansion. The retreat was to review XanGo’s long-term goals, which evaluated the short-term and long-term growth expansion.

I want to share with you how XanGo will help children globally this summer through Season of Smiles. XanGo completed its first 2010 Operation Smile mission in Mexico. XanGo has partnered with Operation Smile since 2004, to help thousands of children each year with cleft lip and cleft palate corrective surgery. Last month, more than 30 XanGo Mexican distributors traveled to Tlaxcala, Mexico where they spent five days supporting medical volunteers to help young patients. XanGo and Operation Smile volunteers performed 100 cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries. This month, XanGo will be performing more than 100 surgeries in Guadalajara, Mexico. After the Mexico trip XanGo will travel to Thailand near the fruit orchards XanGo uses in its products. The three-month Season of Smiles tour will finish in Russia this July.

Last week, we featured a blog from AmeriCares on their Haiti relief efforts. We will continue to follow this theme disaster relief effort. AmeriCares has been documenting their experiences in Haiti through an online blog and video. Here’s the most recent post, with AmeriCares now pledging $50 million in Haiti aid.

AmeriCares Pledges $50 Million in Aid for Haiti

AmeriCares is increasing its commitment to help the people of Haiti by pledging to deliver $50 million in aid to help rebuild the country’s health care system. Several hospitals, clinics and nursing schools collapsed during the earthquake, killing dedicated health care providers and destroying critical medical equipment. Medicines and supplies were ruined in the disaster; what remained was quickly depleted by throngs of injured earthquake survivors. Help AmeriCares Save Lives in Haiti »

AmeriCares has more than tripled our initial $15 million commitment because of the tremendous health care needs and generous outpouring of support from donors, medical product manufacturers and distributors. (read more)

One Month After the Haiti Earthquake, AmeriCares Relief Still Desperately Needed

One month ago, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck Haiti taking at least 200,000 lives, injuring 300,000 and leaving over one million men, women and children homeless. Within days of the disaster, AmeriCares delivered an emergency airlift of medical relief to the battered Port-au-Prince airport. With the help of AmeriCares disaster relief experts who were already on the ground, nearly $14 million in lifesaving aid has been delivered to help Haitian earthquake survivors.
